Everyday number 13. The Casa de Campo is a huge area (4200 acres) of wild parkland to the west of Madrid. In parts it’s wild enough to feel like Madrid’s sierra, 50km further North-West. While the majority of the trees are pine, the real masters of the park are the encinas, or holm oaks. They are majestic, grand, full of spirit and light.
