We had a truly glorious day in Chinchón, a small town south of Madrid, today. Bright blue skies, lunch on a balcony on the Plaza Mayor, local wine, local life. Of all the day trips from Madrid this is one of the most unlikely (Toledo and Segovia are higher up most people’s list), but one of the most wonderful. It’s like stepping a little back in time.
